The goal

Supporting and sustaining digital transformation

Initially contacted for social media training, I was later chosen by Frédéric Bau to create an initial website designed to introduce his work, showcase his books through an online shop, and present the Japanese cooking classes offered by his wife and partner Rika Bau at their restaurant UMIA.

Thank you so much for your ability to understand us, challenge us, stay focused on the goal, and excel, resulting in a beautiful product that both you and I can be very proud of. Truly, thank you.

Pastry Chef

Showcasing expertise

The chef wanted a minimalist site that could still convey his boundless creative world, while also having the ability to sell his books online. I chose to approach the site like a cookbook: the portal acts as the cover inviting the user to open the book, the full-screen menu functions as a table of contents, and each main page represents a chapter. Users can choose to navigate horizontally between chapters and read the one that interests them by scrolling.

Regarding the UI, I was fortunate to work with stunning photos that made the layout process easy. The luxurious nature of the chef's creations is reflected in the predominant use of black and white for a clean, sober look, with a few touches of Dulcey blonde (a chocolate color invented by Frédéric Bau) added to bring the whole design to life.
